My EDM rave days are behind me š
But EMDR therapy days are here to stay āØ
EMDR helps process and heal from traumatic or distressing experiences so your brain and body donāt keep reacting like youāre still stuck in survival mode.
If youāre ready to start healing the root instead of just managing the symptoms, schedule a consultation through the link in bio to learn how EMDR therapy can help you š¤

Today marks the 6th year anniversary of Inner Solace Therapy.
Iām ecstatic for my younger self who once felt lost and wandered, and yet, still find myself crying for the version of me that felt like I didnāt measure up to others.
Building a business is beyond hard. āIf you build it, they will come!ā
You build it, and then you question everything.
And somehow, you keep going.
To every person who trusted me with their story, who allowed me into their healing, and who chose to sit across from me and do the hard work, thank you.
And to those who refer, recommend, and speak my name in rooms Iām not in, you have helped build this in ways I cannot fully put into words.
And to my husband and my son, thank you for your unconditional love and support, for holding me through the highs and challenges along the way, and for being my constant through it all.
Inner Solace Therapy exists because I did not give up, and because people like you believed in me along the way.
6 years later, and I am still becoming. š¤
Some stages of parenting feel heavier than others.
Not just because of what your child is going throughā¦
but because of what it brings up in you.
Developmental mirroring can show up in subtle ways like in your reactions, your emotions, your triggers.
Not to overwhelm you, but to reveal the parts of you that still need care š¤
*The Edits app cut some of the wording in the video š«
Thereās a theory that childhood wounds can resurface when your child reaches the age you were hurt the most
Itās called
developmental mirroring
when your child becomes a reflection of the parts of you
that never got fully nurtured
and suddenlyā¦
your reactions feel bigger
your patience feels thinner
your emotions feel closer
to the surface
not just because of whatās happening now but because something in you remembers
the version of you that needed more support, more understanding, more care
and now youāre holding space
for your child while learning how to hold it for yourself too š¤
Therapy will ask you to look at things youāve learned to avoid.
And yeah⦠that can feel like a lot.
But what we donāt process, we carry.
Into our relationships.
Into our patterns.
Into our everyday life.
Healing can feel uncomfortableā¦
but so is carrying the same baggage everywhere you go.
A lot of the parenting struggles talked about in therapy arenāt just about behaviorā¦
theyāre about disconnection.
And sometimes, that disconnection comes from not having had it modeled for us.
If you grew up feeling misunderstood, dismissed, or like your emotions were ātoo muchāā¦
it makes sense that connecting with your childās inner world can feel confusing or even overwhelming at times.
Not because you donāt care,
but because youāre learning something you may have never received.
These questions arenāt about being a perfect parentā¦
theyāre about helping you slow down, get curious, and build the kind of connection you may have needed too š¤
Which one feels hardest for you to ask?

True story!
Human + therapist = boundaries are boundary-ing š© but Iām always rooting for you ā£ļø
I also make people cry š„²
Meet Gio & Barbara!
In this conversation, they share how intentional communication and quality time help them navigate both their business and their relationship. From busy seasons to quiet moments at home, they remind us that connection takes effort but itās always worth it.
⨠What helps you reconnect with your partner after a busy season?

I promise, I donāt tell couples to ājust stop talkingā (even when it might sound tempting š
).
Couples therapy isnāt about avoiding conflict, itās about learning how to move through it together because real change happens when you lean in, not when you pull away.
When communication breaks down, disconnection grows. But with the right tools and support, repair is possible. ā¤ļø
