P3 Slot Cars & Scale Modeling

These semi drag trucks are a lot of work but they sure are cool! This one started off with an AMT Tyrone Malone Kenworth Drag Truck kit. Fit an ESR Slot Cars chassis under it and put a ProSlot, LLC. Crazy Horse power plant in it. Dancing Bear Scaled Components simply makes the best wheels for slot cars and set off this perfectly. Wrapped up the exterior with House Of Kolor base coats and Cobalt Blue Kandy and some custom decals from STS Scale Model Decals

Coming up soon will be the companion to this rig, it’s got to get to the track somehow, right?

A friend of mine came to me with the idea of building a car for a mutual friend who is battling cancer. David Salomon is a damn good friend and we all pray that Fred Fowler beats cancer!

I’ve been extremely busy with my real job and kids’ summer sports. It’s been nice to get some dedicated time at the bench in the last week or so.

I was able to wrap up this ‘71 Sox & Martin Cuda. It took a bit of body work to get the kit to look like the real car. ESR Slot Cars chassis, ProSlot, LLC. Crazy Horse motor, Dancing Bear Scaled Components Keystone wheels, APEX Raceway and Hobbies rubber, AB Slot Cars interior, Slixx Decals, and MCW Finishes - Model Car World Paint and Resin paint.

This Super Boss drag truck was a challenge to say the least. Between the chassis, paint and decaling, it was tough in all aspects. I wasn’t sure how this would go down the track, but it runs 1.140 in the 1/4 and is awesome!

ESR Slot Cars chassis, APEX Raceway and Hobbies rubber, and AB Slot Cars interior helped complete this, but Dancing Bear Scaled Components absolutely knocked the wheels out of the park!

This is my first personal drag slot car. I built a model replica of a good friend’s ’69 Chevelle SS a year or two ago. I knew when my sons and I decided to start drag slot car racing, this would be one of my builds.
