It’s been a long project but we have finally finished the transformation of the dome house now called the “Dome-i-cile”. This house, I have been involved with since it’s construction in 1975, has reached a new pinnacle in its life and we are now looking to add it to the national registry of unique homes in America. Bill and Linda Barnes, the homeowners, have cemented its future for decades to come. There are 350 custom made steel panels fitted to cover the fiberglass domes with precision. The reflective insulated bubble wrap installed under the panels, controls noise infiltration and keeps sun radiated heat from transferring to the fiberglass underneath and cools the inside dome temp by 20 degrees. The lead valleys have dampened rain noise and added years of weather protection. The skirting around the base, we fiberglassed into a monolithic accent and coated with a two part epoxy coating to withstand the weather and resist sun decomposition. This home will be an icon for many generations to come!

Hello friends, this year has been crazy busy, installing fireplace as usual and many other remodels, including kitchens, baths and outdoor scapes. Currently working on putting a roof system on the dome house on ninth street, very technical and very challenging, here are some pictures to show the beginning stages with fiberglass skirts and lead valleys!
