National Industrial Recovery Act signed — 1933
President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the National Industrial Recovery Act, which guaranteed workers the right to organize and bargain collectively. The law was later struck down, but it helped pave the way for the National Labor Relations Act in 1935.
