Well...

Day 1 of our summer hours experiment is officially in the books, and I'd say it was a success. 🍰☀️

We shifted to a later 3 PM - 8 PM Friday schedule, and right off the rip we noticed a difference. The evening crowd showed up, and we cleared out a lot of cheesecake today.

It's still early, but this gives us hope that later hours may be a better fit during the summer months when everyone is busy with sports, yard work, camping, cookouts, and everything else that comes with nice weather.

In other important news, Mr. Froggy has officially been reunited with his family after his brief stint in cheesecake labor. 🐸❤️ We thank everyone for respecting the terms of his release.

The good news? We're back at it tomorrow during our normal Saturday hours:

🕛 Saturday: 12 PM - 5 PM

Meet the CEO of Cheesecakes by Battle.

He started as an engineer.

Then became a cheesecake baker.

Then somehow became a LEGO.

Nobody is quite sure where things went wrong. 🍰

Baklava slices came out clean!!!

This weekend's Baklava Cheesecake.

Or as my wife calls it...

"The Blah Blah Blah Cheesecake."

To be fair, she can make it better than I can pronounce it.

Layers of buttery, flaky phyllo dough wrapped around a rich, creamy cheesecake, topped with chopped nuts and honey syrup.

It's not cheesecake topped with baklava.

It's cheesecake INSIDE baklava.

Whatever you call it—Baklava, Back-lava, or Blah Blah Blah—it's one of our favorites.

We've been listening to your feedback, and with summer in full swing, we're noticing more people are out enjoying the evenings.

So this weekend, we're going to try something new!

🕒 Friday: 3 PM – 8 PM

Saturday and Sunday hours will remain the same.

We're hoping the later Friday hours make it easier for those who are working, at the ball fields, camping, or enjoying the nice weather to stop by for a slice.

Let us know what you think! If it goes well, we may make a few more adjustments throughout the summer.

Most days you'll find us covered in cream cheese, answering messages, baking, cleaning, and planning the next flavor. Every now and then, it's nice to step away from the kitchen and enjoy a good cup of coffee together.
