Great performance by the Dublin Sparks today at Great Lakes Hyundai of Dublin’s Trunk or Treat! We enjoyed decorating a trunk and handing out candy too!

This is a tutorial post, or just a slow set up and slow jump through TAI, or TIE (how do you spell this? ) just so you and 8 of your jumper friends can try it too! you need 4 long ropes, and 8 turners. Watch the set up, and the side jumpers pattern.

It was a day full of personal bests and cheering for ALL teams!! Super proud of all the jumpers for our last competition this year!! Thank you parents for judging/ volunteering and always supporting!! Thank you Jammin Jumpers for a great day!!

Dublin Sparks Jump Rope Team 2025-2026

The Dublin Sparks Jump Team is a TRAVEL competitive and performance team. Students entering grades 2 through 12 in Dublin City Schools and surrounding areas may try-out for the team. Jumpers will be expected to attend events within and out of the state for the season.

Try-out expectations:
Jumpers will need to be in t-shirt, shorts/leggings and appropriate athletic shoes and hair tied back. Please bring a water bottle.

Dates:
May 12, 5-7pm in the SCE gym will be a skill session followed by information for parents of new jumpers and new jumpers (Parents 6:30-7:00). ( $5)
May 13 and 15 from 5-7 pm in the SCE gym. Jumpers must attend both of the following dates to try-out at Scottish Corners Elementary. This is a closed try-out so no parents will be permitted to stay. Those students trying out will enter through door 5 on the left and at the end of practice/try-outs students will be walked out by a coach.
* Jumpers can be released from try-outs at any time during the above dates.

Requirements: Due May 9, 2025 by noon. If requirements are not met, no try-out will be permitted.

Routine: have this ready to go for May 13th try-out
New jumpers- Short rope routine with 10 tricks performed 1x memorized with good transitions and flow.
Current jumpers- short rope routine with 20 tricks performed 1x memorized with good transitions and flow.

Reference forms: Students will also need 2 forms completed online by a community member/teacher that would attest to the jumpers character and leadership qualities. This may not be a family member. Due: May 9 by noon.
