During the International Week of Ummah the female students got Hennah which is a beautiful tradition found in many Muslim cultures. Henna has been used for centuries for joy, celebration, and beautification. It is often applied during weddings, Eid, and other special occasions.
Henna is connected to Islamic culture because it was known and used during the time of the Prophet ï·º. Authentic narrations mention him encouraging the use of henna for adornment and even for healing purposes. Because of this, henna became a sunnah tradition in many Muslim communities and a symbol of happiness, modest beautification, and cultural unity.
Henna Day reminds us of our shared heritage, the beauty of our traditions, and the joy that comes with celebrating together as an ummah.
