From drab to fab! Check out these photos of our recently completed project at a local solid-transfer station in South Carolina. We removed the old scale (1st picture), which was originally installed in the early 90s, and replaced it with a new Avery Weigh-Tronix 70'x11' truck scale. Nice job guys!

Our Tom Lemon has officially RETIRED! Tom has been with Scale South since the early days when we were Augusta Scale Company back in the 70's. From serving as Operations Manager in the past to head of Capital Equipment Sales, he has had a hand in so many aspects of our company and has been a crucial asset to our team. Tom, enjoy your well deserved retirement!

Our guys (with the help of our old pal Gabriel) working hard on a foundation repair in Bryan County at the I-16 EB weigh station. Our guys put in the work, rain or shine!

Today we are offloading and setting into place an Avery Weigh-Tronix 80' x 11' BMS-HD truck scale in Rincon, GA. This scale includes 4 decks with a man hole for access to the truck scale pit and will be paired with a ZM615 weight indicator with custom software programming. This new facility will produce electric vehicle body parts and is part of one of the largest automobile parts manufacturers in North America.

Our latest truck scale installation in Beaufort, SC. This is a 70' x 11' steel deck Rice Lake Weighing Systems OTR complete with guide rails and a 682 plus indicator being used at a metal recycling facility.

A recent installation we completed of a 20,000 LB 10' X 10' low profile cargo scale with wrap around ramps at an aircraft manufacturer in Charleston, SC. This scale will be used for weighing cargo shipments to be transported via air.

Not scale related, but these 2 hawks hang around our Augusta office frequently. Our technician Derek took these photos of them and they were too beautiful not to share. A couple of fun facts about hawks: They can see much further distances and 8 times more clearly than humans and they can dive at speeds in excess of 150 mph. They also mate for life. The female hawk is usually larger than the male.
