Rather than suggesting a panacea, the evidence highlights how and for whom music might bolster psychological functioning, whether through enhancing attention, reducing anxiety, supporting sleep, or complementing traditional treatments. As integrative practitioners, understanding these mechanisms allows us to meet clients where they are, honoring personal meaning and preference as part of therapeutic change.
