This incident in Madison Heights, Michigan directly reflects the importance for officers to document their perception, and the reasons for their actions. The body cam gives a (minimal) visual account. Most of the time, body cams can't document other important factors of why decisions were made and the process of those choices. In this particular incident, the cams did give a good example of this by recording the officers trying to process what they had just witnessed/felt/thought and what the suspect did(text listed in article).
