Looking for foster to adopt!

**2 weeks starting asap, can be fostered together but adopted separately

These two boys were surrendered to the rescue out of genuine love and in their best interest.

Their owner admitted the mistake of an oops litter and wanted to make sure these guys got the necessary medial care and the strict application process that we have to be adopted.

This morning we woke up to lots of messages from concerned locals about a litter of puppies being given away on social media..

We offered to help with the condition that they let us get mom and dad fixed. Which they agreed to.

These situations are never black and white. We would have loved to had time to plan, make them wait their turn for help and even require a monetary donation to offset the cost of caring for these unexpected pups…

But what I always remind people…animals don’t have a say in where they end up or who helps them.

The positives:
- all 10 puppies are safe
- all 10 have been vaccinated, dewormed and bathed
- all 10 will be adopted into loving and capable homes where they will be fixed and never contribute to the cycle of unwanted puppies

The negatives:
- TEN PUPPIES to feed, house, clean, vaccinate, deworm, socialize and quarantine.
- these guys “jumped” ahead in line for surrenders. Meaning someone responsibly waiting for an open kennel has to wait longer.
- we have had low adoption rates lately.

This is who we are at the core. Helping what ever dogs need help. Trusting that everything happens for a reason and following our intuition.

Now we need theme names….for ten puppies 🤯

This is Lil’ Bit
He is 10 years old
Does your grandpa need a chill companion? Or maybe your grandma is alone all day and needs a buddy. Lil’ Bit is accustomed to that life and is really good at it! He recently was given up because his owner had to unexpectedly go into a nursing home permanently.

“He sits, is potty trained, is kennel trained, and he walks on a leash well. He is very loving when he wants to be and will ask for belly rubs, and likes to cuddle under the blankets whether in bed or on the couch.
loves walks but also doesn’t mind being lazy and sleeping in. He does okay with other dogs but tries to be dominant.
He is sort of just growly a lot - and will give warnings if you are pushing him too far. He requires sedatives before going to the vet.

He’s just really been spoiled by his past elderly owner and I think he already loves me so I am sure he could love someone else as long as they are willing to give him time. I would estimate him at around 30lbs but he’s on a diet and could probably lose 5-6 more.”

Ya know what’s sad? Nugget is growing up in foster care 😭

Not only did she take care of dogs while Brittany was sick this week she also grabbed dirty dishes!

Sadie is once again our hero! Can you imagine doing all these dishes?
