Ok, maybe I was a bit ambitious taking on this project. But the idea of restoring a client’s late mother’s heirloom chest, no matter how seemingly impossible the repairs, I couldn’t help but try. This could have easily been labeled a “lost cause.” In other words, a challenge I couldn’t pass up. Check out the album for a detailed journey from start to finish, and all the troubles in between! In the end, it’s hard to believe it’s the same piece.

If someone told me that someday I’d be getting paid to strip....this isn’t exactly what I would’ve had in mind 🤔

This cabinet holds a secret. This beautiful, vintage, quality piece of furniture was inherited by a client from her father. While gorgeous and in very good condition, it was dated, and didn't fit at all into the family's stylishly modern home décor.

They requested I refinish the piece to be a modern liquor cabinet - but wanted a personal touch. Being lovers of Disney's Haunted Mansion, we decided to embellish the inside of the cabinet with the same designer wallpaper that was used to adorn the Mansion's foyer. So now while guests will see a cohesive piece of furniture with a colorful accent, the client enjoys the subtle nod to their beloved attraction.
