Rare ‘avalanche’ blocks Pennsylvania road during major snowstorm The blockage along Coxton Road in Duryea was more likely a snowslide—snow and debris sliding off a steep embankment during heavy snowfall.

December 23 — Day Two of the Return
The winter solstice has passed. ☀️
The reversal is no longer theoretical — it’s measurable.
Yesterday marked the first full day after the solstice.
Today, December 23, the gain continues.
one minute later than the darkest days. One minute doesn’t feel like much, but it’s the first visible confirmation that Earth’s axial tilt has begun carrying us back toward the Sun.
This is how the return works: Not suddenly.
Not dramatically.
But in precise, accumulating increments dictated by orbital mechanics.
Each day after the solstice adds light.
Today adds another minute.
Tomorrow adds more.
By the end of the year, several full minutes will have returned.
By February, over half an hour.
The image shows it clearly:
December 21 vs December 22 — same place, same horizon, different geometry.
The solstice was the turning point.
December 23 is proof the climb is real.
The light isn’t coming back.
It’s already here and increasing.

Lake Erie was…GONE. No water as far as the eye can see Wednesday. 👀💨🌊
I’ll share one more jaw dropping picture from Cullen Park in Point Place taken from where the shoreline of western Lake Erie is normally. During the seiche Wednesday, the water was sucked out of western Lake Erie due to high winds. Water levels plunged 6 FEET in less than 24 hours.
