From where we began to where we are now!

From demo to finish, we completed most of the renovation ourselves, investing considerable time, effort, money, and skill to bring this building back from years of decline and turn it into the beautiful space it is today!

When we purchased the building in 2021, we uncovered several unforeseen issues. It quickly became clear that restoring the building would require a full, top-to-bottom renovation, as some issues were so serious that it was at risk of becoming unsafe to occupy.

We’re incredibly proud of the transformation and happy that this beloved building is now strong enough to stand for another 100 years! One especially meaningful moment was getting to meet Elmer Hardy’s family to show them how we've cared for and preserved the building he once knew.

Now, it’s time for us to move on. The Hardy Building Event Venue will hold its final event this October, and we will not be accepting any new bookings. We’re excited to see what the future holds for this beautiful space!

When photographing weddings, I often approach each session with a clear vision in mind—something unique I want to capture beyond the traditional must-have shots. While I always ensure the essential moments are covered for every client, there are times when a particular setting or detail speaks to me and inspires a different creative direction. When I saw Claire’s dress and the absolutely stunning bridal suite at her venue, I envisioned something more than the typical “dress on a hanger” shot. I felt her dress deserved to be presented in a way that highlighted both its elegance and the refined beauty of the space around it. It needed to sit, to drape naturally, and to be framed in a way that conveyed both simplicity and sophistication.
