Chicago's Family Dude Ranch! Home of the Black Cowboys We were small and enthusiastic, with a small clientele.
Our objective here at Silver Stallion Ranch is to expose inner-city children to an alternative lifestyle that may lead to:
- Possible rural-based careers (horse-shoer, veterinarian, horse trainer, ranch owner, stable manager....)
- Better scores on state achievement tests focusing on rural-based questions
- Developing a love and appreciation for horses, farm animals, and nature

Howdy folks! We have been evolving like the phoenix due to covid. Here are a couple of pre-covid videos of simpler times in which students from Delta Summit High School connected and cared for their equine teachers by worming, administering vaccines, and engaging in basic hoof care and natural communication.
During covid we are challenging all people to try and make the world a better place for all living beings by taking our minds off of ourselves and learning to connect.

Black Cowboy Taffy Festival at Silver Stallion Ranch This is a Black Cowboy fun family event where the horses and the taffy apples are the stars! There will be alot of country fun to be had but the giant chickhen wings will steal your heart! Oh, did I say Black Cowboys? See you there!!!
