Fall feels better by the fire.

Sneak peek of Copper Ridge, our newest mountain retreat, and one of the coziest spots in the house. This stone fireplace is ready for slow mornings, glowing embers, and blankets you might not want to leave behind.

And here’s the best part: Copper Ridge, (and every one of our rentals), includes a fireplace and/or a fire pit, plus complimentary firewood. Because cozy isn’t an upgrade, it’s part of the Copper Vacation Rentals & Events experience.

Copper Ridge will welcome its first guests in early Summer of 2026… but we couldn’t wait to share a little of its magic. Stay tuned for more glimpses as we get closer.

Now that spring is here, “What hikes do you recommend we do in Yosemite?” is one of the most common questions we get—and our answer is always, "It depends."

Not all trails are created equally. A 5-mile hike of 1,000 feet of elevation gain with Yosemite's above sea-level altitude can feel very different from an average neighborhood walk.

Whether you’re an occasional stroller, a weekend warrior, or a seasoned hiker, we can help you match your choice of trail to both your fitness level and the amount of time you have allocated for hiking—so you can enjoy Yosemite’s beauty without burning out.

What's your favorite Yosemite hike? Feel free to share, and/or ask for recommendations in the comments.

When we consider a space, light and custom designs are important elements for us. Thank you to Mother Nature for the beautiful morning light in this primary bathroom. The cabinetry is thanks to Jon Zensius. 😍

Mid-late October is one of the BEST times to visit Yosemite, partly because there’s a riot of fall color all over the park, including the high country—which is currently still accessible as the snow hasn’t started yet.

and guests visiting the park in fall will often take advantage of the high country access and cross Tioga Pass to the eastern side of the Sierra to experience the fall color in Mono County—some of the best in the western United States.

One week from today, starting October 1st, reservations are no longer needed to visit the park, or pass through to the east side of the Sierra.

has an awesome fall colors report on their website that is updated daily. As of yesterday the report said “still waiting”, so time hasn’t run out to come here and catch it.
