TransCare Ambulance Services, Inc. Non-Emergency Medical Transporation Company The purpose of the Ambulance Driver is the transportation of patients to and from diagnostic procedures and tests; rehab facilities, hospitals, nursing homes, and place of residence. This position will report to the Field Operations Manager and General Manager.

Essential Functions of Ambulance Driver
Maintaining appropriate logs/records; maintaining clean and efficient equipment, wheelchairs and stretchers; recording number/type/destination of transporting orders for reporting; assisting/lifting patients onto/out of wheelchairs, stretchers, beds, etc.; assisting EMT in transporting patients to rehab facilities, nursing homes, home and hospitals; monitoring patients while in transport; providing clear verbal information via communications as required; performing heavy and awkward lifting of patients in difficult areas and terrain; maintaining the safety and security of the vehicle and equipment; assisting the team in checking/maintaining the vehicle equipment and supplies. Driving wheelchair van when needed.

· High School Diploma or Equivalent
· Possess a current and valid Indiana driver’s license.
· Be expected to drive type I, II, and Ill ambulances during all weather conditions and at night.
· Have knowledge of and be able to use a computer and its software (Word, Excel, etc.)

TransCare Ambulance Service is a Non-Emergency medical transportation company. TransCare is looking for EMTs to perform duties associated with providing emergency medical care to the sick and injured in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies.

Essential Functions
Candidates must possess and apply knowledge and skills necessary to perform the duties of an EMT, in a dignified and compassionate manner, including but not limited to:
· Responding to an emergency efficiently and promptly.
· Administering basic life support to patients at scene, en-route to the hospital, and in a pre-hospital setting.
· Assessing the nature and extend of injury or illness to establish and prioritize medical procedures to be followed.
· Treating patients at the scene, en-route to the hospital, and in a pre-hospital setting.
· Effectively communicating with professional medical personnel and treatment facilities to obtain instructions regarding further treatment and/or to arrange reception of patients to the appropriate center.

Required qualifications:
· A high school diploma or GED.
· Must have a current Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and/or Paramedic certification (license, if applicable).
· Must have a current and valid Indiana driver’s license.
· Must have American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer and/or American Heart Association BCLS certification.
· Must be flexible as emergency services operate on a 24-hour clock and the assigned work shift schedule may vary.
· Must have and maintain a thorough working knowledge of local geography, which includes maps, streets and grid book systems.
· Must have and maintain a thorough working knowledge of applicable current standards of care, including equipment functions and uses.
· Must keep all certifications, licenses and registrations up-to-date.
