Horner's Butcher Block

Horner purchased the independent grocery store and opened as Horner’s Butcher Block in 1995. After multiple additions and renovations over the last 19 years, the Horner’s made the decision to build a brand new building in the same location. The new facility should be completed in the spring of 2015. Rather than moving to a high traffic location with more visibility, it was very important to the Horner’s to remain in the neighborhood where they got their start. The support of the neighborhood, community, city and surrounding areas has been so positive that this new phase of the establishment at 30th and Home Ave. The new facility will allow for a bigger variety of specialty items, meat items, and hot foods. We will still offer the same personal service and care for our customers on which we have built our business. We are thrilled to be staying in South Marion and to be a part of the community there. In 2009, the Horner’s purchased what was formerly known as Driskill's Market in Fairmount, IN and opened as Horner’s Market. Hot foods, a service meat counter, and updated décor are just a few of the improvements that have been made there. The support of the Fairmount area has been great and we will strive to continue to improve the market there. The Horner’s believe in the neighborhood market. The value of personal service and customer relationships cannot be understated. In a world of megastores and one stop shopping, there is still a need for personal connection. Our customers are entrusting us with feeding their families and we take that seriously!
