Red Mare Run
Missouri Fox Trotter Farm in Marion, Indiana.
It’s well known by horse people that horses are only scared of two things. 1. Things that move 2. Things that don’t. Got horses that are nervous about things blowing in the wind? Kick a feed bag around and let them lick the grain out of it! They may not start out fans, but my guys figured it out pretty fast. … they’re also pretty food motivated so do with that what you will
Mares vs Geldings. Pretty sure Maeve was a war criminal in a past life. And no, I don’t usually let Captain chew on me/my sunglasses, I was just trying to get a selfie and he’s still very much curious/mouthy about everything and LOVES to be in your space.
Is it Rocket’s turn? Roy’s turn? Who knows 🤷♀️
Rocket has been a sleepy boy this spring - I think he’s getting ready to go through a growth spurt!

When the stallions genetics really said “copy + paste.” All three half brothers from youngest to oldest! Rocket (almost 2), Roy (just turned 2), and Captain (almost four)
C**t training around here doesn’t look like the movies. Thankfully it’s a tad more boring. A lot less traumatic for everyone involved though.
Because when you upgrade your hot tub to a concrete patio and have the old deck left over… it makes a fantastic new training tool! Roy handled it so well walking over it the first time, Jacob missed filming it, so this was his second time across a “bridge”!
Roy working on finding a steady gait in time with the others. (Also, it’s like REALLY hard to ride, pony a 2 year old, and film all at the same time - so enjoy a short clip 😂)
As a “Happy Birthday“ for Roy (who just turned two!) we took him on a trail ride (and a little bit of bushwhacking). He crossed logs, creeks, a deck, survived seeing a rabbit in a bush, and dealt well with being ponied! Enjoy the reel without any trending sounds 🫶🏻
