Beginning October 14, 2025, Windows 10 will reach its end-of-life support. The effect this will have on your computers running Windows 10 will be no new security updates, non-security updates, or assisted support. Microsoft will be encouraging customers to migrate to Windows 11 to avoid security risks. However, due to older hardware incompatibility, not every computer can upgrade to Windows 11.

Microsoft requires that all computers have a Trusted Platform Module version 2.0 (TPM 2.0) in order to run Windows 11. Unfortunately, any computer over five years old will likely not have a TPM 2.0 chip.

My customer was having issues with an update going very slow and the computer was also booting very slowly. When I booted into the BIOS, navigating the options with the keyboard was also extremely delayed. I checked the hard drive and memory and found zero issues. What was the issue?
