Kat's Fish Rescue
Kat's Fish Rescue is a not for profit rescue for pet fish. I run the rescue out of my home in Marietta, GA.
I provide homes for unwanted, neglected, and homeless fish in the Metro Atlanta area.
It is with a heavy heart that I have decided to close my rescue. We have had very few adoptions since moving to the Atlanta area, and I cannot continue to rescue without adoptions. I will continue to care for the fish that are already at the rescue, but I will not be taking in any more rescues at this time. I do not know when or if we will open again in the future. Thank you all for your support and kindness!

Shout out to The SeeShelter for another amazing donation, this time for some rescue axolotls.
✨Did you know that axolotls can live up to 10-15 year if kept in the best conditions, require a temperature of 60-62 degrees and can be with other adults of the same size and s*x but require at LEAST 20 gal per lotl? They are great, funny pets but require a lot of time, money and consistency to care for them correctly ✨ Thanks again See Shelter!

Shoutout to Dana DeLassus for the amazing donations sent to the rescue! ✨🐠 Donations like these help treat more of our sweet fishy rescues and get them back to health in order to adopt them out! Thank you again for these and the generous light donation, they keep our fish friends happy and healthy.

Oreo is ready for his forever home! He is a black and silver metallic delta tail Betta. He was rescued from a chain pet store. He had fin rot and was underweight. He has recovered and would make a great pet for the right home. Send us a message if you're interested in adopting Oreo!

Update: They have all been rehomed!
URGENT ADOPTERS NEEDED!
We recently rescued 26 goldfish, 4 koi, and 3 rosy red minnows from a pond that was being drained. We are well over capacity and urgently need adopters for these guys! Please send us a message if you are interested in any goldfish, koi, or rosy red minnows. If you can't adopt, please consider donating to our rescue. We are trying to save up funds to purchase a temporary stock tub for the goldfish and koi, so that they can have a bit more space here until they find their forever homes.

Rehomed!
Our 3 mbuna cichlids are ready for their forever homes! I believe they are all males. They're all around 5-6". The one that is a bit deformed gets picked on by the others and would need a separate tank preferably without other cichlids. There is an adoption application like with all our adoptables. Please send a message if you're interested in adopting a mbuna cichlid!

We rescued 3 mbuna cichlids, 2 common plecos, 2 black skirt tetras, and 2 black neon tetras this past weekend! I believe all 3 cichlids are male. The plecos are very large and will need a pond in their forever homes. Please shoot us a message if you're interested in adopting once these guys pass quarantine!

We rescued 3 male bettas and 4 glow light tetras last week from 3 different owner surrenders. The dark blue betta and the yellow betta are in rough shape. They both have fin rot. The blue one has a wound on his side. The yellow one has sinking swim bladder disease. They have both perked up after being introduced to clean warm water in appropriately sized hospital tanks. ❤️ The blue and pink betta and the glow light tetras seem to be in good health despite coming from extremely neglected tanks. Send us some good vibes for quick recoveries. 🧡
I'd love some name suggestions for these guys in the comments!
