From Idea To Impact: Our Story

Toboggan Learning Center started with a simple request—a family in our community reached out for math tutoring because their daughter was struggling, and they were unable to provide the help she needed at home. Realizing how challenging it can be for parents to support their children’s education, especially when language barriers exist, Miss Sadji stepped in to assist. Soon, word spread within the Haitian community, and more families reached out for help. Many parents were eager to support their children but faced challenges with language and educational resources.

Seeing the impact that could be done, Toboggan was informaly established in 2019, with a mission to provide high-quality tutoring and learning support to students in need.

Today, Toboggan is more than a tutoring service; it’s a bridge for families, a place where students gain confidence, and a resource for communities seeking accessible, inclusive educational support.
