It was pretty special for these two to hold the giant WHL Championship trophy we watched the Thunderbirds earn last season.

While the Thunderbirds didn’t win their home opener last night, we had a great time at the game and enjoyed watching the banner presentations beforehand!

Summer is over and school has begun! Our youngest started kindergarten today, joining his big brother at TES (they started last week).

Nothing can prepare you for how quickly they grow up.

Anyone else been watching the Mariners this season? What a blast watching my own boys learn the players, positions, and memorize the schedule like I did when I was their age.

August in Maple Valley means Music (& Movies) in the Park!

Each Thursday in August there’s a live band performing in Lake Wilderness Park with movies tonight (August 10th) and August 24th.

Thrifty years ago on Father’s Day I went to my first Mariners game (Mariners won 13-2, Ken Griffey Jr hit 2 home runs).

This Father’s Day we took our boys to their first game (with my parents) and the Mariners won again!

For the past few months I’ve had the pleasure of helping coach my oldest’s baseball team. What a learning curve for everyone!

We wrapped up the season this past weekend and we’re now in the final days until summer break.

Our boys have been closely following the Thunderbirds hockey team all season, making last nights win extra special for our family. What an amazing atmosphere to experience!

We’ve had some pretty cold mornings at the bus stop this week.

We’re the puzzle guys. It’s fun to share a hobby with my son. He hasn’t met a puzzle he hasn’t wanted to solve yet!
