Those elected will serve one-year terms beginning following the 2026 NFDA International Convention & Expo. The individual elected as president-elect will automatically assume the role of president following the 2027 NFDA International Convention & Expo.

MFDA is organized into 11 geographic Districts across the state of Minnesota, each structured to foster stronger connections between the association and its members at the local level. This geographical approach ensures that concerns or topics unique to a particular area receive the focused attention they deserve.

Congratulations to the newest graduates of the University of Minnesota Program of Mortuary Science!

As one of only four universities in the nation to offer mortuary science as a bachelor’s degree, the program has built a long-standing legacy of excellence, having prepared more than 4,400 alumni and maintaining a 96% job placement rate.

Through rigorous academic study, hands-on training in funeral homes across Minnesota, and meaningful experience in the embalming lab made possible by the generosity of anatomical donors, students are equipped with both the technical expertise and the emotional resilience the profession demands.
