Residents made it out to the Maple Grove Historical Preservation Society on this gorgeous day 🌞 We were treated to a private presentation/tour of the beginnings of Osseo/Maple Grove. Hard to believe much of it was farmland in the not-so-distant past. We saw many items that were current trends back then and much has evolved to what we use and see today. A few residents even saw their kids in the yearbooks that were displayed in the museum. A running joke now between them for sure πŸ˜„ A very special thanks to our resident, Caroline, who has strong ties to the center and connected us with the wonderful staff who made such a great experience for our group! We Highly recommend checking out the Maple Grove Historical Preservation Society! On to the next adventure πŸ™Œ.....

Was a gorgeous day on White Bear Lake 🌞 Residents partook in the Bear Boating program which is a non-profit that offers FREE 2-hour guided tour pontoon rides/fishing trips to Senior, veteran and disability groups on White Bear Lake. We did the guided tour pontoon ride and what an afternoon it was πŸ˜ƒ We learned about the history of White Bear Lake along with admiring the many stunning houses along the lake 🏘 We also saw a family of Loons that came right up to our pontoon 🀩 The staff let us try their Loon call instrument that helped bring us closer to the Loons. Pretty neat πŸ‘Œ We have another group going later this week. A fishing trip and another boating trip is scheduled for July πŸ™Œ

Bear Boating of White Bear Lake, MN stays afloat through the many generous private donations. What a fantastic program. We look forward to the next trip! πŸŒžβ›΄οΈπŸ¦…

Residents took a trip to White Bear Lake to support our Dining Director, Aayah, as she took on the Dining Director, Dan, from The Lodge at White Bear in the Sonida Senior Living In-State Battle BBQ Cook-Off 2026!
πŸ‘©β€πŸ³πŸ‘¨β€πŸ³

There were 4 BBQ dishes that were made (2 from each chef) (BBQ Meatball, BBQ Chicken Wings, BBQ Ribs and BBQ Brisket). Residents from both communities sampled each and voted for their favorite one. Both chefs made top tier quality dishes 🀩

However, Aayah once again claimed the top spot (she won the baking competition last month against Dan) winning with her BBQ ribs (her BBQ meatballs took the second-most votes as well) πŸ† Both competitors were great sports 🀝 Thank you to the staff and residents at The Lodge of White Bear for the great hospitality at this event. We are looking foward to another competition between the two later this year at Rose Arbor πŸ€™
