Hello Cypress Bend fans. Hope this message finds you warm and safe. Sterling Golf had decided to keep the greens covered until Monday 2/2/26 to protect them from the forecasted overnight freezing temperatures. We hope to reopen Tuesday 2/3/26 for play. See you then.

Good morning Cypress Bend fans. Due to the forecasted cold and potentially frozen precipitation this weekend, we will be covering our greens beginning Thursday (1/ 22/26)morning. We are hoping to be able to remove the covers early next week. 1/26/26. Many thanks to our hardworking groundskeeping staff for helping ensure the optimal conditions that we have become accustomed to. Hope to see you soon.

Cypress Bend Resort — not only is this a great course, but it holds some great memories in my life. I actually took my driver’s ed test down the road from the resort. There’s a part of the test where the instructor jerks the wheel without warning… mine did it right in front of Cypress. 🤣 I also spent a lot of time at the lake with friends in high school — grilling, playing volleyball, fishing off the dock and never catching a thing. 😂 I could go on, but let’s talk about golf ⛳️ 🏌🏼‍♂️ First, big thanks to @cypressbendgolfclub for sharing these updated pics with me. If you haven’t already, give them a follow — the marketing team is crushing it, and the pictures are just as beautiful as the course itself. Cypress was actually the first course I ever posted about when I started this page. Mainly because it was the one closest to where I grew up, but also because it deserves the spotlight. Opened in 1996, Cypress Bend was built as part of the Audubon Golf Trail and quickly gained a reputation for its elevation changes and views over Toledo Bend. The course weaves through pine forests, around the lake, and gives you some of the most scenic tee shots in the state. It was designed by Dave Bennett and built to challenge — especially when the wind’s up. But Cypress is more than a golf course. For a lot of us, it’s where memories were made — summer weekends, lake trips, early morning rounds, and late-night laughs.
