Here to bring the love of God to the world
Do not say, “I will recompense evil”; Wait for the Lord , and He will save you.
Proverbs 20:22 NKJV
"Revenge is a dish best served cold." How many have heard this? THIS IS WRONG!!!!!! We are not in a revenge business. God saved us all through Jesus Christ, and asked only a few simple things: love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul (Matthew 22:37), love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:39) and forgive us our trespasses, as WE FORGIVE THOSE WHO TRESPASS AGAINST US. (Matthew 6:12) I've read the Bible fully, once and am dialing down more on certain books for myself, but I've not seen anywhere it says to seek revenge. IF someone wrongs you, pray, pray and ask the lord to wrap His forgiving, loving arms around you. God will deal with the evil ones in his own time. We just need to love, spread love and forgive.
And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.
Jeremiah 29:13 NKJV
There is a great story told many ways, but the basics are these: A man went to a church and went to the pastor and said, "how can I find God?" The pastor took him to the river, they got in, and then the pastor held the man under water until he began to struggle. When that happened, he brought the man up and asked him, "when you began to struggle, what did you want most?" The man sai, "I wanted air." The pastor said, "when you want God, just as much as you wanted air come see me.
Now no pastor would do this, but it speaks volumes to how we all think daily. We want food, sleep, vacation, free time....all before we want God.this passage says we will ALL find God when we seek him with ALL our hearts. Good food for thought
I pray you all have a fantastic week.
Many times we pray for people, knowing that's the right thing. There are times though when we wait to see WHEN they'll mess up. This may be a normal human emotion but this isnt living in God's will or standards. This isnt new though....look at the book of Jonah
Jonah 4:2-5 NKJV
[2] So he prayed to the Lord, and said, “Ah, Lord, was not this what I said when I was still in my country? Therefore I fled previously to Tarshish; for I know that You are a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger and abundant in lovingkindness, One who relents from doing harm. [3] Therefore now, O Lord, please take my life from me, for it is better for me to die than to live!” [4] Then the Lord said, “Is it right for you to be angry?” [5] So Jonah went out of the city and sat on the east side of the city. There he made himself a shelter and sat under it in the shade, till he might see what would become of the city.
Ive prayed prayers that wete answered then wondered why God would do it. Jesus tells us the second great commandment is to love our neighbors as ourselves. This way of thinking might feel normal, but this isnt love. We need to ALL work together to KNOW Gods blessings aren't just for the individual
Let's talk today about something that is TOUGH. How do you feel inside when you see someone who's "done you wrong" have the same happen to them? Most of us, if not all of us, would say... GOOD, they deserved it.
Well, this is not how we're supposed to act. We're told by Solomon, in Proverbs, that we shouldn't take delight in others failings. I know this may be tough, it may feel unnatural, but it is what the Bible tells us. Let's read it:
Do not rejoice when your enemy falls, And do not let your heart be glad when he stumbles; Lest the Lord see it, and it displease Him, And He turn away His wrath from him.
Proverbs 24:17-18 NKJV
I say it all the time. Pray on it, ask for guidance and follow how God is leading you. WWJD, what would Jesus do? Yes, but also, what would Jesus desire? What would be pleasing to Him? Think about this next time.

So today I want to talk about a couple things. One, we were called to be the light for those that are lost. I know this can be trying at times, but remember Jesus. During His time he was being a light for those who were trying to do harm to him. Through this, Jesus didn't complain or gripe. Jesus used the words of God to simply shine brighter
God has done so much for us, let's not use our time down here to simply complain about why "things don't seem right," and let's let God's light shine through us.
Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world,
Philippians 2:14-15 NKJV
When we have doubts and questions about our faith, how do we handle them? Do we think our faith is weakening? Do we think of ourselves as less than Christian? In reality our questions and doubts are healthy and human – they are an invitation to renew our faith – and our lives.
Jesus, You kept faith in God Your Father all the way to death. You call us to do the same. May our faith in God never fail, even in the midst of doubt. Amen.
Remember without our faith the mercy and grace of God can be taken away. I'm living testimony that if we choose to stray from what God has planned for us that he has no problem putting you back on track by whatever means necessary
Jesus’ willingness to trust in God is a call to us to do the same. Misunderstanding, suffering and rejection are the cost of discipleship. But by paying the price we bring the world closer to God.
Jesus, we believe in You. Jesus, we trust You. Jesus, we love You. Amen.
Being a follower of Jesus today means to go against the grain of a culture that focuses on wealth, success, competition and gratification. To do this is to invite suspicion, ridicule, even persecution. We are called to be brave like the women of Jerusalem in witnessing to the values Jesus taught and lived.
God our Father, keep us faithful to You at all times. Give us the courage to witness to Your presence in the world, even when we must look and act different to do so. Amen.
