Manvel Police Department

A second chance and a happy reunion:

On September 14, Manvel Animal Control responded to a call about a dog suffering from heatstroke and unable to move. He was rushed to the Manvel Animal Clinic, where the veterinary team provided lifesaving treatment.

While caring for him, staff located a microchip and contacted the microchip company to file a found-pet report. Three days later, we heard from his owner, who lives in California, where the dog originally came from. After positively identifying him, arrangements were made for his owner to pick him up.

We’re happy to share that this sweet boy was safely reunited with his owner!

Thank you to Manvel Animal Control and the veterinary staff whose quick action and care made this reunion possible. From getting him help when he needed it most to making sure he found his way home, their efforts made all the difference.

Let this be a reminder to microchip your pets and keep your contact information current. That little chip can help bring them home.

Happening tomorrow!
