Any ideas what happened to this egg?!?

It took a village for this little project. After watching a few videos on YouTube, I designed double hoop crops in ordered the supplies. Keithie built the boxes for me and excavated the area. Pete helped me place and fill the boxes with soil, cover with w**d cloth, install the tea posts and add the cattle panels. I zip tied everything together and Pete “pulled em tight“ for me. I then snipped the ends and we now have four beds that can grow up and over the cattle panels. I will plan cucumbers, green beans, small, watermelons, and small pumpkins.

Bonnie, of course, supervised; and Lili, the superintendent, usually showed up late and insisted on being chauffeured around. Abbi works the night shift so she was off duty during our build, but she was sure to cheer us along from the sidelines.

Our egg production has been lacking lately, or so we thought! We’ve been looking for hiding places, but today Pete found the likely culprit.😡

No, we didn’t kill it. We simply gave it a new home.

Check out the new chicken coop (hoop coop) we built in a couple of afternoons! It was past time to get these silkies and seramas out of the brooder!
