Projects like Braid 7 do not exist without a lot of support from the community and today was a big step in rebuilding the program after the big storm craziness a couple of weeks ago.

So our community Jiu-Jitsu project in East Ft Worth suffered a mild set-back during the weekend storms.
The entire building was lifted off it s base and turned upside down. Not sure what’s next but you might have noticed the kids in the photos. Those are students in the neighborhood who showed up on their bikes to help us clean up. They worked hard and were in good spirits. Perseverance through adversity was one of the things we were trying to instill in them so I’m really proud of them.

We’re looking to sponsor a couple of them at a regular gym so if anyone in the East Ft Worth area knows a place, or if you are interested in helping us sponsor them, please reach out to me or The Mat Mission to find out how.
