🏠 How does Bond 2026 impact homeowners age 65 and older or disabled?
The estimated financial impact of Bond 2026 includes the $200,000 homestead exemption approved by state voters in November 2025.
Homeowners age 65 and older or disabled will now receive a $200,000 homestead exemption if they have filed for and received the applicable exemption through their local tax assessor’s office.
Once homeowners qualify, school property taxes are frozen at the established ceiling, protecting the homeowner from any tax rate increases.

🏫 Bluebonnet Trail Elementary was built in 1994 and has not had a major renovation since 2008. The school currently operates at 79% utilization, with enrollment projected to reach 83% within the next five years.
A facilities assessment identified roof leaks, foundation deterioration, aging HVAC and plumbing, technology deficiencies, accessibility gaps, and recurring system failures.
🏗️ Bond 2026 would fund a new campus, allowing Manor ISD to address infrastructure, improve safety and accessibility, and provide a more sustainable long-term investment.
