Grateful to Jim Kelly for the shoutout on the CBS NFL pregame show. It was an absolute honor to share the hunt with a legend on and off the field.

Grateful for the chance to spend time with a true legend, Jim Kelly. He’s overcome so much in life, and it was an honor to share the field and a hunt with him. Huge thank you to Josh Boren and SWC Hunting for making this unforgettable opportunity possible.

Last night in Colorado, another dream came true. I was blessed to harvest a bull elk.

This one is extra special. He still had some dried velvet hanging on his horns, and the top left of his antlers has a character unlike anything I have ever seen. Truly one of a kind, and I could not be happier.

A huge thank you to SWC Hunting for an incredible experience, to Josh Boren for the invite, and to his son Tristen for sharing the hunt with me. And a special thanks to Natalie Davis for making this all possible with a simple plane ride connection after SCI.

This year has been nothing short of amazing, and this bull elk is one I will never forget.

First mule deer in the books, and I couldn’t be happier.

Colorado delivered in a big way last night. I was blessed to hunt with SWC Hunting, invited out by Josh Boren, and got to share the experience alongside his son Tristen. Every harvest I’ve had this year has come on the first afternoon, and somehow the streak continues.

This hunt was more than just a tag punched, it was a dream I’ve had for a long time. A huge thank you to for making the connection on a plane ride home from SCI. Without that moment, this hunt wouldn’t have happened.

Memories made, lessons learned, and a dream realized.

Had an incredible time speaking at the Carrington Charitable Foundation event. I want to thank the Carrington Foundation and the Rose family for not only having me, but for always being there. Your support means the world, and it was truly an amazing event.

I can’t believe I’m making this post. What was once just a dream is now a reality. Hunting is my passion, but the truth is I can’t do these things alone. Because of the generosity of so many people, I was able to live this dream here in British Columbia with Fire Mountain Outfitters.

Brandon and Rena told me back at SCI in Nashville that they wanted to bring me up here and try to get me on a moose. I told them I’d give it everything I had, and here we are. I flew into B.C., made it out to their ranch, hopped on a float plane into camp, boated out to an island, and on the very first evening I harvested this bull. Most years it seems like I tag out on the last day, but this year it happened on the first.

My guide Axel, a Canadian military veteran and fellow airborne brother, was right there beside me. Taylor, Brandon and Rena’s daughter, wrangled on this hunt and kept everything running smooth. The next day Brandon’s son Riley came into camp and helped prep the moose to get it out. He also spent the rest of the week in camp with me, which made the whole experience even more memorable. It was truly a family effort from start to finish.

The weather was perfect, the country was beautiful, and the bull is one I’ll never forget. Big bodied, heavy horned, and everything you imagine when you dream of moose country.

This trip isn’t over. I’ve got plenty more pictures and videos to share, but I needed to pause and say thank you to everyone who made this possible. A special thanks to Neil Hillard for playing such a big part in making this dream come true, and to Brandon and Rena for not only inviting me but treating me like family.

Every time I’m blessed with a harvest, I can’t help but think back to that hospital bed years ago. Legs gone, arms wrapped up, no working hands, wondering if I’d ever hunt again. Because of people who believe in me, support me, and give me these opportunities, I’m still living this dream.

Big thanks as well to Kryptek for keeping me warm, and to Chêne Gear for the custom waders, definitely needed when you drop a moose in the water.

Opening Day Bear Down
I was blessed to draw a Minnesota bear tag this year and even more blessed to fill it on opening day!

Huge thanks to John Streiff and his family at Horse Creek Outfitters for making this hunt possible. John even has a part in my book Beyond Five Minutes and it’s special to share another hunt with him. This was my second bear hunt in Minnesota and it brought me full circle. My very first bear and the lessons I learned are written in those pages.

This hunt was exciting, memorable, and the perfect way to kick off my 2025/2026 season. Grateful for the people, the place, and the journey that continues.

The morning of graduation rehearsal, most people were sleeping in or getting ready to walk the stage. Me and Andy? We were chasing gobbles. I dropped this bird and we still made it to practice on time.

Get Andy’s perspective on this hunt and a whole lot more in my new book Beyond Five Minutes
