As I lay in bed I've been reflecting for days on how to make my words count. There's no perfect way for me to say this but from my heart. For the last year we've faced challenges. We've allowed those challenges to take center stage. You all know where our faith lies and we've let the strain compromise that. There's NOTHING more important than GOD & FAMILY. Our family has decided to refocus on what truly matters. Life is about balance and we lost sight of that. We could continue to push forward but it's time to reassess. It's time to smile more, to spend quality time with our beautiful grand girls, our kids, our parents who are aging. WE WILL BE CLOSING our doors at the end of the month. Some will smile, some will laugh, some will gossip - that's all okay. OUR PEOPLE know us and get us.

We would like to SINCERELY THANK YOU. This has been an extremely rough week for our family. Our entire house has been sick with INFLUENZA. We Have not been able to work and as a family owned business we depend on your support, and you all never cease to amaze us! The amount of messages and offers of help truly are a blessing. You all are more than just acquaintances you are an extension of our family ❤️

My beautiful friend Amy started The Blessing Tree in conjunction with New Creation Church to help area families that were struggling. This among many other acts were SELFLESS! Amy was also a single mom of 2. Amy lost her life due to complications of COVID. Every year we work hard to keep her legacy alive. Her Sisters, Mother, Cousins and many more come together to make it happen.

We’ve seen too many announcements lately from some great local boutiques and other small businesses closing their doors, which hits SO close to home. Our hearts truly go out to these business owners who have had to make these terribly hard decisions.

There’s no doubt it’s a challenging time for small businesses. From the huge increase in cost of goods and supplies, lack of staffing, debilitating road construction, the ease of online shopping with large corporations… you name it. It’s a scary-sad reality that some of these things just can’t be overcome.

Most small business owners, us included, don’t aspire to create huge empires or be millionaires. They simply aspire to support themselves and their families while fulfillling a dream, a goal, a passion.

With that said, we just want to offer a quick reminder... There’s no better time to support your local small businesses than now (Small Business Saturday is this Saturday and the holiday season is in full swing)! Keeping your dollars local supports your fellow community members, and, we promise, your support means so much more than it does to a mega-corporation. If there’s a local small business that’s near and dear to you - a store, a restaurant, a salon, a bakery, a service provider - consider showing them a little extra love! Because it means SO much. ❤️
