Hoptoad

The last nephew gift! This is maybe the proudest I’ve ever been of something I’ve sewn. This little bitty fox shirt just came out so professionally!

My nephew requested a new robe, as his other one was getting too short. He was very excited that the tie wasn’t attached in the back, because he loves to take them out and pretend they’re snakes 😂

My little niece has been into fashion lately, so at Thanksgiving, we sat down and designed her dream dress. It had everything she loves, cats, music, green, flowers, bows and ruffles! Was she ever surprised to receive her dress in real life when we celebrated Christmas in early January 🥰
(The neckline has since been reworked, I wasn’t quite happy with it on a 3 dimensional person 😅)

My Mother in Law is the world’s biggest fan, and asked me forever ago to make her a quilt out of the fabrics she’s acquired, but customer commissions and my other job had repeatedly pushed it to the back burner. I made it a priority to finally finish it this Christmas, and she loved it!
There’s also a little hidden Mickey in the corner that I cut from one of her old scrubs that I was given when she retired from nursing, as she’s a big Disney fan as well! 🐭

The trouble with content this time of year, is most of what I’m making is Christmas presents. Now that this has been gifted any it won’t spoil the surprise, here’s my husband’s new coat! Made out of a mid century Orlaskan wool blanket, it’s incredibly cozy.

Benjamin and I were Agent Dale Cooper and his beloved pie and coffee. Some of the food we made, it was a great night 🧡🖤
