Authority staff continue to be available during normal business hours, but may be assisting customers, attending meetings, or working at another Authority facility at the time of your visit.

MAWSA crews will begin routine hydrant flushing on Monday, June 1 in the northern portion of our water service area. Flushing activities are expected to continue for the next few days.

This important maintenance helps remove naturally occurring sediment from water mains, supports water quality, and ensures hydrants are operating properly for fire protection.

Customers in affected areas may notice temporary discoloration or brief pressure changes during flushing activities. If discoloration occurs, running cold water for several minutes will typically clear the water.

Please use caution around crews working in the area and allow extra space near wet roadway conditions.

Water Main Replacement Project: Update on Restoration

The MAWSA staff will be meeting with the Contractor tomorrow 5/27 to review all Punch list items for final restoration in the various locations where the water improvements were made. Their crews are expected to clean up all items early in the week beginning 5/31. This has taken a long time, but your patience has allowed us to maximize the value of the grant received to support this improvement.

As we gear up for weekend BBQs, remember that pouring grease down the sink is a recipe for a sewer backup. 🏠🚫

When F.O.G. (fats, oils, grease) cools down, it binds with "flushable" wipes to create massive blockages. Keep your plumbing (and our community's pipes) clear by scraping pans into the trash instead! 🚮💪
