Meet Brian Martinez, a Master's student in Business Administration, and proof that there is never a "perfect" time — just the right decision!

Brian chose K-State's online MBA program for its flexibility and structure, making it possible to pursue his degree while working full-time at John Deere & Company. Brian also helps recruit and support the relationship between the company and the K-State College of Business, staying connected to the Wildcat community even from a distance.

His most anticipated milestone? His capstone project — the final step before earning his degree — where he'll take a real, work-related challenge and turn it into a structured research and problem-solving opportunity. That's learning in action.

Behind Brian is a whole village: family who pushed him through the long nights, friends who kept him grounded, and professors and mentors who offered guidance when he needed it most. Martinez said, "Each of them contributes something different, and together they form a network of people whose insights I deeply value."

You can usually find him heads-down in his home office or soaking up the shared energy of a local coffee shop.

His advice to anyone on the fence about grad school? "Just go for it. There will never be a 'perfect' time to start. Starting may be the hardest step, but it's also the one that moves you closer to your goals."
