We've grown here. We've welcomed new friends and have said goodbye to old friends here. We've lived, loved, laughed here. It hasn't always been easy or fun, but this space is special. The community that blossomed within these windowed walls has changed us for the better.

CLAFLIN UPDATE

We've been putting this one off. Not sure if it's denial or just classic avoidance, but I haven't even thought about how writing this would feel until this very moment. I'm just going to rip this bandaid off:

Our last day of service in our original location will be Wednesday, May 27th.

Whew. Exhale.

After very nearly 13 years, it is fast approaching time to close this chapter of Arrow for good. We've processed this a lot over the last 9 months of uncertainty, but always knew we'd end up here, but somehow it doesn't feel real. It probably won't for some time. We would love to see you all one more time (or several) before we are done.

Lots of you have asked what's next for Arrow, and to be honest we don't exactly know. Our focus at this moment is to get through graduation week. After that, our focus will be finalizing the move. We hope to get some rest in June, and figure out what life with only one location is like. Despite lots of ideas and opportunities we could pursue, Rachel and I are committed to no new projects for 12 months (putting this here for accountability). Our hope is to turn our Downtown location into the best version of itself. With lots of extra energy and a full staff, we are all very excited about the possibilities

The only thing that feels right to say at this moment is that, in processing this whole turn of events, we have really come to realize that all we really have is each other. The support and love and solidarity we have received through every step of the process consistently brought home that point that no matter the circumstances, we have our people. We stand here, two weeks from the end with hope in our hearts because no matter what comes next, we will always have each other.

Busy weekend in Manhattan! Our small but mighty team is taking some time to work and play outside of the shop, so we'll be closing at 11am on Saturday 4/25. Just enough time to grab your morning coffee and breakfast burritos before festivities kick off!
