Manhattan, you have some seriously athletic dogs! I spent yesterday ringside capturing the incredible energy, athleticism, and pure joy at the Dock Dogs competition. Seeing these pups launch themselves through the air is absolutely spectacular. The excitement continues through Sunday, so I highly recommend heading over to Blue Earth Plaza to cheer them on!

My heart breaks for all of the wonderful people who have cared for this amazing beast. Tembo arrived at the Topeka Zoo in 1976. At 56 years old, she was humanely euthanized this morning due to significant decline in health. These are my most recent photos of Tembo from earlier this year.

I'm so grateful that my youngest still happily honors my wish for Mother's Day photos. It's the one thing that I truly want, but this kiddo also made me crepes for breakfast and fondue for dinner. Lucky Mama!
