Jean Criss is an Author/Writer, Media/Entrepreneur, Fashion Designer, and Tech Innovator.
- Jean started her career in the high-tech corporate sales industry for leading technology companies and became very successful out the gate. She transitioned into media and publishing and led many successful

ventures with magazine, book, and digital online publishing. She has been especially known for her work in digital media for over 25 years in cable TV, digital media, print and online where she led sales and marketing teams to success, collaborating with key ad agencies and clients across many industry sectors. After a corporate layoff, Jean started her own creative media services agency, Jean Criss Media, offering a portfolio or services based on her expertise across these platforms and has been leading this business venture for 12 years as a woman-owned solopreneur.
- Jean has a computer science associates degree, business communications undergraduate degree, board education leadership certifications, digital media, and social media certifications, studied executive leadership, and women’s breast cancer health and wellness with over 50 accrued accreditations in post-graduate studies. She has received dozens of honors and awards for her work in media, entrepreneurship, breast cancer and leadership, and has been involved in dozens of women, business, and philanthropic organizations throughout her career.
- She currently writes for NYWIFT Communications as Contributing Writer where she thrives on bringing conversation to communities with LIVE coverage via blogs, articles, social media, and Podcasts for the film and entertainment industry. She writes as Columnist for other women entrepreneur, business, lingerie, and cancer publications. She has published thousands of articles in the press and media, and has appeared on a variety of Radio Blog Talks, Podcasts, PSAs, and TV shows.
- Jean became an Author after being diagnosed with bilateral breast cancer. Her journey inspired her to put pen to paper and document her survivor story and wrote two other books about business and life as an entrepreneur in a trilogy series My Pain Woke Me Up. FLUFFY, is her most recent work, a children’s picture book about their family dog written from the eyes of a puppy. All books are sold on Amazon Kindle, the web, and other media outlets in soft cover and e-book formats. She self-published, wrote, and designed the graphics in her books, and continues to Dream BIG, with other books in development. Her passion for writing is endless since that door opened years ago since her cancer diagnosis.
- Jean took her media and tech expertise to the next level by innovating a utility-patented post-surgical fashion brand, CRISSCROSS Intimates, known for its contemporary comfort and style also worn as adaptive and active wear. She designed all branding, advertising, and marketing for her work as a true multi-media trend-setter. She has received industry awards, accreditations, press mentions and has been invited to HOLLYWOOD several times. CRISSCROSS Intimates was launched while recovering from bilateral breast cancer and MRSA during a long hospital stay and so, she decided to make the world a better place by designing contemporary post-surgical undergarments to rock cancer survivor’s world. Her passion for fashion and in media criss-cross her worlds. She continues to thrive, create, and innovate, problem solve, and share her experiences on blog posts, podcasts, and social media. - On the Tech Innovation front, Jean designed a utility-patented micro-sized mobile charger which allows you to ditch the garb we carry around in our bags and briefcases, to use a micro-size pocket phone charger instead, compatible with most USB/C devices. You-GO-Mobile was trademarked as a utility-patented line designed in a variety of colors, 110V and battery styles. Jean decided to focus efforts on cause-related work for breast cancer, hence her media and fashion work took the forefront, while production for the tech innovations was put on hold. She is still very much interested in bringing this product line to market with appropriate funding.

Honored and incredibly excited to share that CRISSCROSS Intimates’ latest innovations — JeanetiX and Pink-Skins — have been recognized with a Bronze Award at the 47th Annual People’s Telly Awards in the People’s Telly – Branded Content category.

Last fall, we were racing against the clock to introduce the JeanetiX prototype in time for UNGA / Climate Week NYC, followed just weeks later by the rollout of our Pink-Skins innovation. Both patented designs were developed throughout the year, with the branded content video created to unite both innovations into one visual storytelling experience.

These innovations reflect my passion for media, technology, and fashion, while giving me the opportunity to showcase my creativity and video production skills as a media entrepreneur who loves doing it all. Who says you can’t live your dreams?
