Detection at the nanoscale Graphene, the "wonder material," has shaped much of Suprem Das' research career, and his continued work with the material has earned him his fourth patent, further advancing graphene's potential.

The Kansas Water Institute (KWI) in its recent 2026 CoSearch workshop has selected Team HydroCats as its top performer and winner, earning a $200,000 in funding. The team including Dr. Suprem Das, K-State IMSE Associate Professor, and collaborators from multiple disciplines across the university, pitched their idea to the judges and the public during the competition. The team will work on an innovative project on water contaminants and remediation in Kansas drinking water.
