The Grand Plié is one of the most essential movements in the world of ballet. It looks simple, yet it is incredibly demanding. Often the first exercise at the barre, it is also one of the steps that requires the most strength, control, and precision. Many dancers feel the urge to move through it quickly, but true mastery comes from focus on control and alignment above all else.
