What can I tell you on my way out the door?

I can tell you I am writing.
I can tell you it's probably not what you think I'm writing.
I can tell you that I am excited to see what happens next.
That's pretty much all I can tell you 🧿

More soon. xo

As my bookcase has evolved over the years, some details have changed while others have stayed exactly the same. Booklovers know 🥰

I believe the vast majority of us are good people who support the right for everyone to be who they are and create the life they want to live.

I believe we want good things not only for ourselves, but for all humans, other living beings, and the environment.

I believe you can be a force for positive change by taking action for what you know in your heart is true.

Hope is alive. There is a definite vibe of feeling DONE with hate, anger, bullying, and ignorance.

Do you feel it too?

Everybody is saying that this summer flew by faster than ever. Time flies when you are doing what you love, but I think we are feeling it even more now that we've emerged. We are savoring these moments with the understanding that everything is temporary, that nothing gold can stay. We are savoring being out in the world doing the things we love and seeing the people we care most about in person.

These moments are fleeting. Summer is officially on until September 22; I will be savoring every day remaining. And then I want to keep this easy summer feeling going. Just because summer is coming to an end doesn't mean the essence of summer has to. We can infuse our daily routines with that summer glow by enjoying the Now. Taking a little time here and there to appreciate the beauty around us. Dedicating a moment to breathe deeply and practice gratitude. Noticing the goodness in people amidst the chaos. When we choose to focus on positive energy, we invite more of it into our lives, and that can support our shining summer hearts all year.

Wishing you a wonderful fall, friendly neighbors! xo

TGIM! Enjoying the possibility of positive things this week may bring. A ladybug landed on me. I took that as a good sign.

These are pages from an English textbook to be published in Ireland featuring an excerpt from KEEP HOLDING ON. What the publisher did with this cafeteria scene is beautiful. I was that girl eating lettuce sandwiches (or mayonnaise and mustard sandwiches when there wasn't any lettuce) for lunch, sitting alone or eating in the bathroom because I was too embarrassed to have anyone see. But the humiliation was worth it to be able to write a book that readers have told me saved their life.

Hear me when I tell you that no matter where you came from or what you have endured, your past does not have to define your future. You are the architect of your own destiny. The negative energy of the trauma you have survived can be converted into positive energy that can help other people feel less alone. There is beauty in this life of possibility...of finding a way to turn negative into positive, of creating your dream life because your life, right now, belongs to you, and you are the only one who can decide where you go from here. Much love xo

The most glittery NYC views ever. This is what it felt like before I moved to New York, imagining how it would feel to live here 💕💖

You know when you're so in love with a book and the whole time you're doing anything that isn't reading the book you just can't wait for when you get to go back to reading the book? I read a lot of good books, but few have even come close to the brilliance that is Lessons in Chemistry. Beautiful writing, intricate plot lines, characters you care about, on point perspectives (even Six-Thirty, who is a dog)...all of these elements combine to create a vibrant, magical potion that will go down in history as a catalyst of book obsession. Welcome to the revolution, indeed.

All I can think about whenever I pass this station on the train is, "Better take some Buffern for Suffern!" And now Aidan is back with a new country house...or is he?
