One of our favorite parts of building a wedding, whether it be one day or four, is the culinary story. Taking the answers to those questions and letting them inspire what and how you share with your guests.

Your menu determines rental needs, tabletop design, pacing and the overall flow of your event. Whether we’re observing religious laws, honoring cultural influence and customs, paying homage to the time of year and location or making the largest decisions based on the food a venue has to offer, it plays an integral role in the planning and an even bigger role in the experience.

Food holds memory. It’s tied to moments, to people, to feeling. It’s something people remember for better or for worse.

I can’t look at this table without thinking about soup.

We had already locked in the menu for the tasting when I caught wind that my bride was a soup girl. So I asked, “Wait… why are we doing salad as a starter? If you love soup, let’s start with soup!”

It was April — just on the cusp of soup season — so we went back to the drawing board and landed on the most beautiful chilled gazpacho with .

Fusion weddings blend two distinct cultures, religions, or traditions into one deeply personal celebration. They also happen to be our specialty 💁🏽‍♀️.

For D+S’s Jewish–Italian wedding at , tradition and personality were woven in at every turn. A lush chuppah. An electric hora. A family-style feast followed by millefoglie cake and freshly piped cannolis for dessert (thanks )!

The night kept building: a cold sparkler surprise from one bride to the other, live electric violin and sax jamming alongside the DJ, and a late-night after-party spread from Shake Shack + Prince Street Pizza.
