The BMW M Concept Neue Klasse is more than a styling exercise. It previews:

✅ Future M design language
✅ Next-generation M EV architecture
✅ Four-motor performance system
✅ BMW M Dynamic Performance Control software
✅ Heart of Joy vehicle computer
✅ 800-volt charging architecture
✅ Gen6 battery technology
✅ Sustainable natural-fiber materials

Most importantly, it signals that BMW M intends to differentiate itself from other high-performance EVs by focusing on handling precision and driver engagement rather than simply chasing horsepower numbers.

The technologies shown here are expected to influence a new generation of all-electric BMW M models arriving over the next several years.

—The New Era of BMW ALPINA Starts Here

The design language is all about “second read” sophistication. The front end brings back the shark-nose idea tied to the ALPINA B7, while the kidney grille becomes a three-dimensional sculpture with a softly backlit perimeter. A six-degree speed feature line starts from the lower front corners, runs along the body, and wraps around the rear. The modernized ALPINA deco-lines are painted beneath the clear coat, and the car rides on 22-inch front and 23-inch rear wheels with the 20-spoke design that has been part of ALPINA’s visual identity since 1971.

Inside, BMW describes generous space, full-grain leather from Alpine-region producers, restrained heritage blue and green stitching, watchmaking-inspired metal finishes, and crystal controls focused on the driving experience. The Vision BMW ALPINA also keeps ALPINA’s comfort philosophy alive with Comfort+, while BMW Panoramic iDrive and a new passenger screen get an ALPINA-specific digital interface.

Most importantly, BMW says BMW ALPINA became an exclusive brand within the BMW Group in 2026, positioned between BMW and Rolls-Royce. Next year, customers will be able to experience the first BMW ALPINA model, inspired by the BMW 7 Series but unmistakably ALPINA. That makes this concept more than a styling exercise: it is BMW showing how ALPINA’s old-school grand-touring philosophy could survive in a modern luxury-performance future. For fans, that is the plot twist: less noise, more authority, and another kind of speed.

Old BMW i7 vs New BMW i7: Why BMW’s Rimac-Backed Gen6 Upgrade Is a Big Deal

BMW i7 vs new BMW i7 is one of the most fascinating luxury EV comparison stories of 2026, and this video breaks down exactly why the upcoming all-electric BMW i7 could represent a major leap forward for BMW’s flagship electric sedan. Based on BMW’s official announcement, the new BMW i7 is being developed in cooperation with Rimac Technology, the Croatian electrification specialist within the Rimac Group, with a clear goal: more range, faster charging, and a more advanced high-voltage battery system.

At the center of the story is BMW’s sixth-generation eDrive technology, also known as Gen6. The new i7 will use BMW’s 4695 lithium-ion cylindrical cell, which BMW says delivers 20 percent higher volumetric energy density than the prismatic cells used in Gen5. That matters because it gives the new all-electric BMW 7 Series Sedan the foundation for significantly increased range while also improving charging performance for drivers who expect flagship-level convenience and long-distance usability.

BMW also says the new high-voltage battery combines Gen6 cell technology with the established Gen5 module design. That blend of new and proven hardware is a key reason this upcoming BMW i7 is such a big deal. It is not just about luxury, presence, or status. It is about pushing BMW’s top-tier electric sedan deeper into the future of premium EV technology.

The Rimac connection adds even more weight to the story. BMW says the battery is manufactured by Rimac Technology in Croatia on state-of-the-art equipment and delivered ready for assembly to BMW Group Plant Dingolfing, the world’s only production facility for the BMW 7 Series.

Polestar just turned its Precept concept into a real production flagship, and the Polestar 5 arrives as a four-door electric performance Grand Tourer built to make luxury EVs feel sharper, cleaner, and faster. Officially revealed by Polestar on September 8, 2025, the Polestar 5 is based on the brand’s bespoke Polestar Performance Architecture, a hot-cured bonded aluminum platform designed for light weight, rigidity, safety, and serious driving dynamics. In Performance form, the car delivers up to 650 kW, or 884 horsepower, and 1,015 Nm of torque from a dual-motor setup featuring an in-house developed rear motor. That means 0 to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds, with a 155 mph electronically limited top speed.

The technology story is just as wild. Polestar gives the 5 its first 800-volt electrical architecture, a 112 kWh lithium-ion NMC battery with 106 kWh usable capacity, and DC fast charging up to 350 kW, allowing a 10 to 80 percent charge in as little as 22 minutes on a suitable charger. Inside, the Polestar 5 blends Scandinavian minimalism with real grand touring comfort: a luxury 4+1 seating layout, Recaro front seats, individually reclining rear seats, available massage, ventilation, four-zone climate control, a 14.5-inch center display running Android Automotive OS with Google built-in, a 9-inch driver display, and a 9.5-inch head-up display.

Audi just revealed the first official look inside the new Audi Q9, and this is not just another SUV. According to Audi’s official press release, the Q9 is the brand’s first large full-size SUV and the first full-size SUV to wear the four rings. Audi is positioning it as a new flagship model focused on space, exclusivity, and in-car experience, with CEO Gernot Döllner saying “Vorsprung durch Technik” is increasingly defined by the experience inside the vehicle.

The biggest defining feature of the Audi Q9 is its interior. Audi describes the cabin as a spacious, exclusive sanctuary for family, business, and long journeys. The Q9 will offer up to seven seats, with a six-seat layout available for a more business-class feel. In that version, the second row gets two electrically adjustable individual seats with active ventilation in the cushion and backrest. For families, the seven-seat version allows all three second-row seats to fit child seats.

Another major first: the Audi Q9 has electrically operated doors, a first for Audi. They can be opened or closed using the key, myAudi app, MMI, brake pedal, or seatbelt buckle. Audi also says surround sensors with obstacle detection can stop the doors from opening into tight spaces, cyclists, or other road users.

The panoramic sunroof is another standout. It measures about 1.5 square meters and uses nine individually controllable segments that can switch from transparent to opaque. The roof also blocks more than 99.5 percent of UV radiation, and the top trim adds 84 LEDs with 30 colors.
