It's that time of year for us to head out to Milford lake to support this awesome family and event. The passion this young man had for fishing reminds us how important it is we get as many kids off the electronics and outdoors fishing as we can. This tournament allows ypu to do that and with some awesome prizes for the winners. If.you don't have all the equipment to go let us know I am sure we can get you someone to help. If you are a business and want to donate any raffle prizes or make a donation please contact them and help out. We will have our cart rides at the park for all your kids to enjoy for a small donation. Please come out and support this awesome fishing tournament for Jackson's journey.

Our power came back on this evening. Its been a very long day, but we survived. Hopefully we can get everything cleaned up soon and get more things done around the Homestead. We want to add another activity this year like we always do so if you have any ideas let us know. I hope everyone's power is back on and you all had a great day.

Well last night was a little breezy. We got around 3 inches of rain and 70 mph winds. All the animals are safe but like always we have more work to do. We are still without power but I have the generator going for the incubator and one freezer. We aren't completely moved so we will have to move food today if power isn't on soon. I hope you all are doing OK and didn't get too much damage. I try and take the positive out of things like this so I figured God just trimmed some branches for me that needed trimmed and the pond is full so the fish, ducks amd geese are all happier than ever.

Layla ,Pumpkin, and Caramel are all in training. They are starting to get use to the halters and they reall like to be brushed. Of course they really like the extra treats. Hopefully by fall we will be able to take them into the sunflower garden and other areas for pictures. We will also be able to setup more sessions for pictures with the highlanders if they are halter broke.

Well, today was just what the doctor ordered for us here at Rohling Homestead. We didn't just have one birthday party, but we had two again. I know I've said this before, but we have as much fun as the kids. All the smiles today made me realize that I need to keep making this place nicer and work harder so our guests can enjoy it with us. Ellis and Remi are both turning 6, and they both had a lot of family and friends who shared their special day with us. We met so many nice families, and I just want to thank you all for how great your kids were. They showed patience on the cart rides, kindness with each other and the animals, and politeness with us, and it made our day. Hold them all a little tighter tonight because they grow up very fast. Thank you all again. We also want to send prayers 🙏 out to Axel's family after he was found today.

I just wanted to let everyone know we are not open to the public this weekend. We have private parties booked and we are still trying to get moved. We do have guinea keets, pullets and hens, bunnies and farm fresh eggs available for sale. Please message us for details and pickup if you are wanting any of these. I hope you all have a great weekend.

I hope all your little ones had a blast today and are worn out as much as this cutie. We decided her name is going to be Layla. Thank you for all the recommendations.

Well of course I was running around like crazy today and didn't get any pictures but you all are truly awesome coming out and supporting us in the heat. We know the pool or the lake is a great place to be on an afternoon like this, so we appreciate you all choosing us instead. Also I really want to thank our volunteers today because without them our events wouldn't be possible. Our animals are so loved and enjoyed all the attention. Let's also not forget why most of us got the day off today because of all the ones that gave all. You will never be forgotten. I hope everyone has a great week.
