I have a lot of new clients walking in the door over the next 10 days. I can’t wait, Now I just have to remember to video everything! Take a small peek at a piece of my day. No smoke/fog/or filters to make it look glamorous. it has a beautiful result but the preparations are still in the background unseen, and time-consuming. I love making my clients look glamorous! My client tomorrow lost her hair from cancer treatments Then as if that wasn’t enough, someone bleached the new hair that grew in, damaged it, and then put in very questionable extensions in it. I show all my clients with they’ve paid for And all the boxes that it came out of. My previous post about returning to work had people reaching out 🫶🏼 and asking questions. I didn’t think about the fact that everyone doesn’t know what happened and the 10 yr journey from a my back injury. Some people didn’t know me or how social/active I was before. Let me explain and try to *stick to the short version* I had a really bad slip and fall down a flight of stairs while holding my 15 month old grandbaby. All I could focus on was the fact that she was hurt (I actually broke her ankle😞 ) I waited too long to go to the doctor. Continuing my daily gym activities and made myself extremely worse. Fast-forward to now I’ve had six surgeries related to that incident. I did, however have a couple years where I was doing better and unfortunately, two years ago in a swimming pool of all things re-injured or caused the inevitable that the doctors had been talking about. Last year I had two surgeries eight months apart, which put me back into the same situation of having to redirect clients to people that I trusted.(I’m so thankful for her!) majority of my clients are so loyal, I appreciate every single one of them for going on this journey with me and being patient through my mood swings/pain. Dr. Melucci and his team over at East Jefferson, are hands-down, a class act and extremely efficient. I’m truly thankful for the relief that they have given me. There are new trial studies out there. You do not have to have a fusion with a rod anymore, there are new solutions that do not make you lose your mobility and get you back to where you used to be. I am five months postop and back in the salon. I’m feeling more and more like myself every day. Thanks again for everyone that reached out and have been so supportive along the way. I truly couldn’t have made it without all of you guys.

If I can say anything about this whole situation is never give up on getting back to normal and don’t give into Pharma. Their prescription medications are not a cure! You have other options with so many natural remedies/resources that actually work that don’t create new issues.

My sweet Suzy, this pulls at my heart strings. I’ve been doing her hair since she was very young teenager. With her travels from Montana to get her hair done, her loyalty is amazing! Everybody take a moment to lift her and her family up in prayer 🙏🏼 love you so much!!

Time to get out in front of this whole Cancer thing. Surgeon thought it was a great idea to buzz the site beforehand, so I enlisted the help of @hbhairandextensions to make it look more…intentional. 😉 I’ve always wanted to try the asymmetrical side shave and now I’ve got nothing to lose—except possibly more hair. 🤣 Anyway, I have Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma in my ear canal. The next time I see most of you I’ll have a pretty gnarly scar and a fun hearing aid that will let me take phone calls hands-free. That’s the update. Another sweet girl that is graduating this weekend! I forgot to take it before photo(shocker🤷‍♀️) but she’s such a beauty. It’s always so much fun transforming hair for special occasions like this. Wishing her all the best.❤️‍🩹
