Traffic stop practice in willimantic, CT 6/23 5:30-8 pm!

We are inviting community members to take part in a hands on program, Traffic Stop Practice Supporting Autistic Drivers and Passengers.

This event allows participants to take part in mock motor vehicle stops with officers in a safe, structured setting, helping individuals better understand what to expect, build confidence, and improve communication during real interactions. The DMV Blue Envelope will also be introduced as a tool to support communication.

We will be joining Coventry Police Department and Eastern Connecticut State University Police Department and Southern Connecticut State University to provide a realistic, guided experience focused on preparation and awareness.

We want to see as many people show up as possible, as strong participation makes this more effective for everyone involved.

Participants may take part as drivers or passengers, including student drivers. All ages are welcome.
