Apparently iTunes 12.8.1 breaks Safari under Yosemite and was simply yanked without an option to upgrade to the previous build. This may cut off restore functionality with iOS devices. If you're like me and need to run Yosemite for compatibility reasons, you'll need to grab the 12.8 installer directly before you can restore devices.
Download iTunes 12.8 for Mac Use the AirPlay menu to easily group HomePod, Apple TV, and other AirPlay 2-enabled speakers and control what plays next.
