The puzzle box!
What mysteries might it hold? What adventures has it beheld? What distant corners of this world or others has it been tucked, hidden or lost? Few know. Less would say.
Throughout history only four souls have ever seen the faces locked in this box. The Boxmaker, the child and a learned dou of seekers. These solvers of mystic puzzles twisted their minds, flexed their intellect and fought through nearly two hours of mental torment to unlock all three holds. The eyes were there to greet them... eyes they can never unsee.
This box is now in the Boxmakers shop. Gathering dust as time glides by. The locks are locked. The eyes are hidden. The faces are waiting to be seen. If only.... one could again.... maybe someday.

It's been a while but heres one...
Oak and poplar with some birch ply inside.
All my boxes contain secret compartments with hidden keys or latches (not shown).
I wanted a high gloss finish on the framed pieces but I couldn't keep bubbles out of the spray on poly, so I left it thin with a frosty look. I'll take it.

Wheres the boxes! I just processed 3 "sources", 82 individual boards. The juices are flowing but I've been refinishing an old table, working on a duplication jig for my lathe and tinkering around. Fear not! My shelves are loaded.
If anyone has any ideas or specific wants I'd be happy to work on custom builds.
