Best 5th Pitch - Quinn Orvis

Congratulations to CT Mayhem 18U pitcher Quinn Orvis (East Catholic HS ’26) on being voted the winner of CT Insider's statewide contest for the Best 5th Pitch in Connecticut High School Baseball. Gametime CT

Quinn's signature knuckleball earned the most votes across the state, making him the winner of the category.

A member of the CT Mayhem family since 12U, Quinn has developed into one of Connecticut's top pitchers while helping lead our 18U program.

His unique knuckleball, combined with a high-80s fastball, has made him one of the toughest arms to face in the state.

Quinn will continue his academic and baseball career at NCAA Division I Central Connecticut State University this fall.

We're proud of everything Quinn has accomplished and excited to see what's next.

CT INSIDER has nominated CT Mayhem 18U pitcher Quinn Orvis in its search for Connecticut's best high school specialty pitch.

A member of the CT Mayhem family since the 12U level, Orvis is a 2026 graduate from East Catholic High School and will continue his baseball career at NCAA Division I Central Connecticut State University.

His signature knuckleball has earned recognition as one of the top specialty pitches in the state.

We congratulate Quinn on this recognition and invite the CT Mayhem community (and everyone else) to support him by casting a vote.
